You can have the personal data we hold about you deleted at any time. This page sets out every route, what each one actually removes, and the one precondition that blocks account deletion.

English is the governing language of this page. Translations are provided for convenience only.

Option 1 — From inside ATHOMIC

There are two separate actions here. Disconnecting Meta does not delete your account, and deleting your account is not how you disconnect Meta.

Disconnect Meta only

  1. Sign in at athomic.no.
  2. Go to Store, then Integrations.
  3. Press Disconnect on the Meta card.

Your stored Meta access tokens, Page ID, Instagram user ID, business ID and catalogue ID are deleted immediately. Nothing further is published.

Delete your ATHOMIC account

Read this first. If you are the only administrator of a store, account deletion is blocked — the store would be left with no one who can administer it. Transfer ownership to another administrator, or uninstall ATHOMIC from that Shopify store, and then delete your account.

  1. Sign in at athomic.no.
  2. Go to Account, then Profile.
  3. Press Delete account at the bottom of the page and confirm.

This removes your profile, your notification preferences, your memberships of every store, and your login. It does not by itself delete a store that other administrators still use — see Uninstalling from Shopify below.

Option 2 — Revoke ATHOMIC from Facebook

You can remove our access to your Meta accounts from Facebook directly:

  1. Go to Facebook Business Integrations settings.
  2. Find ATHOMIC in the list of connected business tools.
  3. Press Remove.

Meta then sends us a signed deletion request, and we delete all stored Meta data for that Facebook user immediately on receiving it — access tokens, Page and Instagram identifiers, business and catalogue identifiers, and the cached catalogue product list. We return a confirmation code to Meta as its specification requires.

Option 3 — Uninstalling from Shopify

Uninstalling ATHOMIC in your Shopify admin ends the Service for that store. Shopify then sends us an erase instruction, normally about 48 hours after the uninstall, and we delete every record scoped to that store: campaigns and their drafts, send logs and recipient records, scheduled actions, social posts, email templates, AI image jobs, marketing and planner configuration, the Meta installation and its tokens, sender domains, the unsubscribe list, agent configuration, activity and runs, subscription and billing audit records, feeds, notifications and notification preferences, products, memberships, invitations, store settings, and the Shopify installation itself.

The exact scope is described in our Privacy Policy.

Option 4 — Email request

If you cannot sign in, or want a written record of the request, email privacy@athomic.no with the subject line Data deletion request. Include:

  • the email address associated with your ATHOMIC account, and/or
  • the Facebook Page name or Instagram username you connected.

We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

If you are a customer of a store that uses ATHOMIC

Contact the store. They are the data controller for their customer data; we act only on their instructions, and we will refer your request to them. Two things you can rely on in the meantime:

  • Unsubscribing works immediately. The unsubscribe link in any campaign email is unique to you and that store, and takes effect permanently for all of that store's future campaigns.
  • A deletion request made to the store reaches us. When the store processes it, Shopify sends us a customers/redact instruction and we erase the campaign send records and unsubscribe records we hold for your email address in that store.

What we keep, and for how long

Deleting data from the live database does not instantly rewrite our backups. Encrypted database backups are held in a private, access-controlled bucket and expire automatically on a 60-day cycle, so deleted data disappears from them as they roll.

We also keep accounting records for as long as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires, and aggregate statistics that cannot be linked back to you. The full retention table is in our Privacy Policy.
